CIFRI – A Portable Assembly for Submersible Echosounder

Background:
In fish location instruments that use an Echosounder, the location of the fish is recorded at a depth from the source level which is generated from the bottom of the Echosounder Therefore, the exact depth and location are not available as the measurement is available only from the source level of the Echosounder whereas the water surface is above from it and due to this fish detection lacks precision.:
Technology Details:
The present invention is a portable assembly to mount an echosounder on a fishing craft which enhances the accuracy of measuring the exact position of the echosounder under the water, thereby enabling to find the precise location of fish and also determine the depth from the water surface of every water body. This portable assembly enables mounting an echosounder to a fishing craft will make it easy to attach and unlatch the echosounder with pre-determined lodging positions and also makes it possible to determine the accurate depth of the echosounder under the water. This mechanism assists the echosounder to locate the exact position of aquatic species such as fish from the water surface. This also enhances the accuracy to track fish in water, including the movement of a fishing craft around a travel axis with reference to water. For applications such as echosounder, the ability to generate exact locations and depths of fish from the surface of the water is critical, and progress made by this assembly will serve to use this application effectively and be more user-friendly. This assembly is low cost, simple, compact, adaptable, and flexible for mounting echosounder for finding fish schools. This can be fitted at the port side, starboard side, bow, stern, or gunwale of any fishing craft without poking holes and is easily attachable with a housing bracket incorporated with an unlatching and lodging mechanism for releasing and lodging the position at different depths. This is a simple, adjustable, graduated, and portable housing assembly for operation connecting an echosounder which would be able to rotate to 360 degrees for positioning at desired depths underwater. This assembly can be used for connecting an echosounder which can be easily mounted from any fishing craft mechanized or non-mechanized and for sending a signal in a specific desired direction. Using this assembly pre-set lodging positions of the lodging mechanism can be engaged in orienting the position of the major axis from the Echosounder while knowing the exact position of the Echosounder from the water surface through the graduated meter scale welded to the housing. The lodging mechanism of this assembly includes a central opening through which the top of the Echosounder can be seen, the top of the Echosounder having an indicator of the position of the depth of the Echosounder with precision through an attachment of a graduated meter scale. The housing has an unlatching and lodging mechanism for releasing and lodging the position of the Echosounder at different depths ranging even up to 1.0 meters depth. The assembly involves graduations so that the exact measurement of the Echosounder position can be gauged and adjusted based on the requirement. It is thus possible by way of this mechanism present to precisely measure the exact position of the Echosounder under water which in turn would facilitate the determination of exact location and depth from the surface of the water in any waterbody of any target such as a fish in fish location applications and utilities.
